Job Description

Adelphi is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide contract services at a state-operated healthcare facility in Missouri. CNAs will support the facility's clinical staff by delivering basic patient care, maintaining safety protocols, and assisting with daily healthcare tasks in a secure psychiatric hospital environment.

Requirements:

• Valid Missouri CNA certification.
• Current BLS certification. 
• Must attend a mandatory 5-week New Employee Orientation.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends/holidays as needed.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care, treatment, and/or security of forensic psychiatric and/or sex offender clients in a secure setting.
• Accountable for assisting clients with activities of daily living such as feeding, bathing, bed making, shaving, dressing, and other related tasks.
• Assist in checking vital signs, height, and weight as assigned.
• Collect and maintain records of fluid intake and output.
• Report on the condition of clients.
• Observing, reporting, and recording changes in the physical condition, behavioral response, and emotional status of clients.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for client care and treatment activities.
• Reporting to work on time and as scheduled.
• Working overtime as needed to retain adequate staffing.
• May perform internal environment of care checks or perform some security related functions in a mental health care setting
• Requires heavy lifting and the ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Other duties as assigned.
