Job Description

We have partnered with a real estate development firm focused on the acquisition and development of affordable housing throughout the United States. Their goal is to improve the affordable housing stock by partnering with owners and making substantial improvements to their properties through an extensive rehabilitation that transforms the interiors and exteriors while addressing all deferred maintenance and capital repair issues. This role is in person and based in Bozeman, MT.

About the job:

The Closing Coordinator will oversee and manage the legal and administrative aspects of real estate transactions, from pre-development through closing. This position requires strong knowledge of real estate legal documents, loan and financing agreements, title and survey review, and coordination of the closing process for affordable housing development projects. The ideal candidate has a detail-oriented, proactive approach and thrives in a collaborative environment.

Salary: $75,000+/year and fully paid health insurance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, draft, and organize real estate legal documents, loan agreements, closing binders, and compliance files.
  • Coordinate timelines and communication between legal counsel, lenders, title companies, and internal project teams to ensure smooth closings.
  • Review title reports, exceptions, and surveys; work with title officers, attorneys, and lenders to resolve issues prior to closing.
  • Track closing checklists, critical dates, and funding requirements.
  • Assist with assembling due diligence materials and submissions for lenders, investors, and public agencies.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical files for all closing documents.
  • Ensure documentation complies with company, lender, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support ongoing corporate and project legal matters as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, legal studies, real estate, or related field (paralegal certification strongly preferred).
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in real estate law, title, or loan closings, ideally with affordable housing or multifamily development.
  • Familiarity with legal documents including loan agreements, deeds of trust, partnership agreements, title exceptions, and closing statements.
  • Experience coordinating with lenders, attorneys, and title companies.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with document management systems preferred.
