InGenesis is currently seeking Dental Hygienists to work with our potential client. In this role, you will examine the patient’s oral cavity and refer those with abnormalities to the dentist, as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Review a patient's medical and dental history.
• Take x-rays: bite wings, periapical, panorex and review them for signs of dental diseases.
• Screen patients during checkups for gross caries and pathology.
• Contact the attending or resident to verify findings and complete the exam.
• Perform dental cleaning using a cavitron machine and scalers.
• Apply fluoride treatment to children.
• Counsel and educate both patients and families on the proper ways to maintain good dental hygiene.
• Provide oral hygiene instructions.
• Dental cleanings tailored to each patient, considering their medical history and conditions, documented per NYC Health + Hospitals/CHS standards
• Ability to perform dental hygiene activities on both children and adults.
• Check and maintain equipment to ensure working conditions.
• Provide dental services at multiple clinics within CHS facilities
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current New York State RDH License.
• Appropriate clinical dental hygiene experience.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems, specifically EPIC.
• Strong understanding of infection control protocols and OSHA regulations.
