✅ Position Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Emergency Nurse Practitioner (NP) to serve as a VA Reviewer for a non-profit organization. This fully remote role involves case review including performance improvement reviews and medical advisory opinions.

✅ Requirements
✔️ Current, unrestricted NP license in a U.S. state or territory
✔️ Board-certified in Emergency Medicine
✔️ At least 5 years of active clinical practice within the emergency NP specialty
✔️ Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Emergency Medicine
✔️ Actively practicing at least 20 clinical hours/month
✔️ Must maintain active hospital privileges

✅ Responsibilities
✔️ Audits / Facility Requested Reviews (FRRs)
- Address standardized questions (e.g., Was care timely and appropriate?)
- Estimated Time: ~1 hour per case
✔️ Management / Other Cases
- Non-standardized set of questions related to performance improvement indicators
- Estimated Time: ~1 hour per case
✔️ Medical Advisory Opinions (MAOs)
- Initiated by patient complaints or malpractice concerns
- Non-standardized legal/clinical questions
- Estimated Time: ~2-4 hours per case

➡️ All reviews are confidential and reviewers are not required to testify in court.

✅ Compensation
✔️ VA Per Case Flat Rates (subject to annual review):
- FRRs (Audits) - $95 per case
- MAOs (Medical Advisory Opinions) - $225 per case
✔️ One-Time $150 Payment for obtaining a VA PIV Card
✔️ Training time is not compensated
