Financial Analyst | Charlotte, MI

Salary Range: $67,000 - $101,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and production overheads to identify cost drivers and inefficiencies.
• Develop and manage financial budgets and forecasts, specifically for production volumes, labor, and material costs.
• Prepare detailed financial reports on plant performance, product profitability, and operational key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Conduct in-depth analysis of capital expenditure (CapEx) projects, including ROI calculations for new equipment and facility upgrades.
• Support inventory valuation and analysis, including obsolescence reserves and turn rates.
• Collaborate with operations teams to identify cost reduction opportunities and process improvements.
• Perform profitability analysis for various product lines, customers, and manufacturing sites.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Demonstrated experience with cost accounting principles and inventory valuation in a manufacturing environment.
• Expertise in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for financial data extraction and reporting.
• Proven ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights to support business decisions.
• Experience with budgeting, long-range planning, and capital expenditure analysis specific to manufacturing operations.

Bonus Qualifications

• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Familiarity with manufacturing-specific ERP modules (e.g., production, inventory, cost accounting)
• Knowledge of supply chain finance concepts
