Are you a retired teacher or teaching professional who is seeking a small environment rather than a classroom? Are you seeking a position that allows you to flex your schedule around school, family, or another part-time position? If so, we welcome you to our on-call team, working around your flexible schedule! Full-time and Part-Time positions are now available in Seattle and the Eastside.
As a back-up nanny, you will: - Care for children in-home, but you will not be required to transport children
- No household duties other than common sense clean-up of your activities or meals with the child
- Support families who need care for children ranging from infants through toddlers. Highest demand for care for children under the age of 2!
- Engage children by providing safety and leading hands-on activities based on your observations of the children’s age-appropriate development
We provide: - Pay: $20-25 per hour
- Receive paid training and a nanny kit filled with age-appropriate activities and games that you will bring to childcare assignments

About you: - At least 18 years old
- Experience working with children, paid or unpaid, infant experience mandatory
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
- Your willingness and ability to travel to various homes throughout the area
- You are available Monday - Friday for 6 - 8 hour shifts between 7 am and 7 pm
Working Conditions and Requirements: - Work environment will be active, kid-centric and includes clean up of activities
- Part of each day may be spent outside, weather permitting, and will be active play
Essential Physical Requirements: - Position involves regular lifting, bending, squatting, reaching and pushing
- Must be able to lift 35 pounds safely
- Must be able to get up from and down to the floor numerous times throughout the day
- Will need to be able to react quickly to certain situations
- May need to react to emergent situations in a calm, effective and safe manner
