Your Unique Role:
Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for supporting
production with any processing issues that occur during their scheduled shift. We will
look to you to optimize our manufacturing processes, improve efficiency and ensure
product quality.
Troubleshoot process issues and lead efforts to reduce scrap
• Lead attainment of the site process key measures and provide
mentorship and support to the bay supervisors to achieve their key
measure goals
• Work within a cross-functional team including maintenance, tooling, and
production management
• Participate and lead improvement project teams that are geared towards
improving operational performance
• Participate in Corporate initiatives to support cost reductions, quality
improvements, and standardization
• Coach and support training and development of the site supervisors
What we are looking for:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Plastics Engineering, or related field
• Solid understanding of injection mold tooling, gate/runner design, part
ejection, secondary equipment such as thermolators, dryers and
hoppers and feeder/mixing units.
• Experience using DOE’s and other statistical tools for problem solving
such as 8D, 5Why, 4M, KT, etc.
• Knowledge and utilization of scientific and decoupled molding practices
• Experience with gas assist and 2 shot molding ,RJG Edart/CoPilot
systems a plus
