Data Analyst (Junior) - Tax Technology with Python/Pandas Expertise
EY is currently seeking a Junior Data Analyst with demonstrable Python programming skills and good French language proficiency to join our Tax Technology Transformation team.
Key Responsibilities
Perform hands-on data manipulation using Python/Pandas to import, cleanse, and transform accounting datasets.
Write efficient Python scripts to automate data cleaning and reconciliation processes
Build data pipelines that connect to various data sources (SQL databases, Excel files, APIs)
Apply practical data analysis techniques to interpret accounting data and generate actionable insights
Perform reconciliations between tax data, accounting data, and financial statements
Create data visualizations and reports to communicate findings effectively
Participate in team meetings and document technical processes.
Required Technical Skills & Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, information technology, business analytics, or related field
Practical Python coding experience (1+ year) with ability to demonstrate through:
Portfolio projects involving real data manipulation with Pandas
Code samples showing proficiency with DataFrames, data cleaning, and analysis
Specific Pandas skills required: DataFrame operations, merging datasets, groupby aggregations, and practical data cleaning techniques
Working knowledge of SQL queries and relational database concepts
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial data structures
Strong French and English communication skills (written and verbal)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
