Job Description

We are currently seeking a Junior Project Manager to assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of industrial construction projects from inception to completion. Working under the guidance of the Project Manager, the Junior Project Manager will support various aspects of project management including budgeting, scheduling, resources allocation, and client communication. This role provides an opportunity for growth and development within the industrial construction sector, making it ideal for individuals looking to build a career in project management.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Project Manager in the planning and execution of industrial construction projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.
• Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, fabrication, field services) to track project progress and address and issues that may arise.
• Monitor project schedules and budgets, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
• Participate in on-site inspections and collaborate with site supervisors to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with project requirements.
• Assist in procurement process, including reviewing material orders and ensuring timely delivery.
• Prepare project documentation, including reports, meeting minutes, schedules, and change orders.
• Communicate regularly with clients, vendor, and subcontractors to provide updates and address concerns.
• Assist in resolving any technical or operational issues that may impact the project timeline or budget.
• Support the Project Manager in risk management by identifying potential issues and helping implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in industrial construction of a similar industry (internships or co=op experience accepted)
• Basic knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and project management methodologies.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Procore, etc) and standard office software (MS Office Suite).
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with construction contracts, schedules, and cost management.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations in an industrial environment.
• Eagerness to learn and grow within the industrial construction sector.
