Mechanical Maintenance Technician 📍 Hoboken, NJ 07030
🕒 Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM (Monday–Friday)
💵 $25–$32/hour | Temp-to-Perm | On-Call Rotation Required

Key Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in wastewater treatment or similar mechanical maintenance
- Valid driver’s license (clean record)
- Proficiency with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
- Ability to obtain CMRT certification within 3 years of hire
Preferred:
- Forklift operation experience
- Experience supporting municipal utility clients
- Strong safety awareness and work ethic
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on water/wastewater systems
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair pumps, valves, motors, and machinery
- Lubricate equipment, replace bearings, and adjust regulators
- Install, align, and commission new equipment
- Maintain plant buildings and infrastructure (cleaning, painting, basic carpentry)
- Assist with plumbing and pipe fitting as needed
- Use welding equipment (gas/arc) to cut, braze, or weld
- Keep accurate maintenance records and logs
- Support plant safety procedures and respond to emergency repairs as needed
- Participate in on-call rotation after initial training
