Job Description

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Transportation Manager will oversee the day-to-day operation of transporting individuals to and from the Chrysalis Day Program, and providing direct services at the Day Program to the people of Chrysalis.  The Transportation Manager will also be responsible for managing the maintenance and scheduling of all company vehicles and overseeing employees.  The Transportation Manager coordinates closely, and works in conjunction, with the Day Program Manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

22 years of age and meet the Chrysalis driving requirements.  Must have no more than two minor moving violations or 1 accident in the last three years. Must be current and certified in First Aid, CPR and Defensive Driving.  Capable of communicating well in both verbal and written form.  Able to know directions, and have the ability to find locations with ease.  Have good judgment and able to handle crisis situation.  Able to understand and manage personnel issues and deal with individuals in a positive manner.

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:

• ·Experience and or equivalent education in working with handicapped individuals.
• ·Understanding of DSPD policies.
• ·Have good judgment and able to handle crisis situations.
• ·Have good general writing skills and can articulate oneself on a variety of issues.
• ·Able to understand and manage personnel issues and deal with staff in a positive manner.
• ·Use Defensive Driving Skills
• ·Have good public relations skills in working with a variety of individuals and employees.
