Atlantic Staffing is accepting resumes for experienced Plumbing Foreman for well established client in the Raleigh, NC area.

This is a temp-to-hire position. Weekly pay while employed with ASC.

VALID NC DRIVER LICENSE REQUIRED WITH A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and draining systems according to specifications and plumbing codes.

TYPICAL DUTIES OF A PLUMBING FOREMAN:

• Exercise behavior that ensures personal safety and the safety of coworkers. Promote a positive image of the company.
• Compile material lists for the project.
• Study building plans and working drawings to determine the work aids required and the sequence of installations.
• Inspect structure to ascertain obstructions to be avoided to prevent weakening of structure resulting from pipe installation.
• Using a ruler, spirit level, and plumb bob, locate and mark the position of pipes, pipe connections, and passage holes for pipes in walls and floors.
• Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings using hand and power tools.
• Cut and thread pipe using pipe cutters, torch, and pipe-threading machine.
• Using hand and power tools, assemble and install valves, pipe fittings, and pipes made of metals such as iron, steel, brass, and lead and nonmetals such as PVC.
• Join pipes by use of screws, bolts, fitting, solder, plastic solvent, and caulks joints.
• Fill the pipe system with water or air and read pressure gauges to determine whether the system is leaking.
• May weld holding fixtures to steel structural members.
• Maintain an awareness of material availability at the job site and shop.

KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, & EXPERIENCE OF THE PLUMBING FOREMAN :

• 5-10 Years of Commercial Plumbing Foremen Experience
• Experience heavy commercial plumbing work including Cast Iron Bell and Spigot piping, PVC Sanitary Piping, Copper, Pex and Uponor water piping, Vent Piping, Acid Waste Piping, and Brazing copper fittings. Able to read and comprehend Plans and Specifications, code requirements, and lead a team of mechanics/helpers. 
• Med-Gas Certification is a plus
• Blueprint Interpretation
• Boiler Installation
• Gas Lines
• Installing Compressed Air Lines, Drain Lines, Piping, & Water Lines
• Overseeing Subcontractors & Inspectors
• Sanitary & Storm Lines
• Timesheets & Expense Reports
• High School Diploma or Equivalent

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF A PLUMBING FOREMAN :

Must work efficiently and skillfully with hands; lift and carry objects weighing 150 pounds. See well (either naturally or with a corrective lens). Climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolds and stand, stoop, kneel, or crouch.

PAY RANGE & SHIFT OF THE  PLUMBING FOREMAN:

*$28.00 - $35.00 (Depending on your experience)
*Monday - Friday from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
